Establish Your Believe In God

Three main positions people adopt concerning God’s existence:

  • There’s no God. The person willfully decides to live in complete ignorance and refuses any rational and objective evidence of God’s existence.

  • There’s a God. But he who makes the claim doesn’t seek His face. Although he acknowledges God’s existence, the person lives in negligence, fails to inquire about the true God, His will and desires for mankind. So the person can’t distinguish the true God from the many gods in the world (2 Timothy 3:5).

  • God indeed exists and there’s purpose to life. Here, the individual decides to seek God and His will in all undertakings on earth.

Where do you belong?

Seek and do His will

If God exists, you desire nothing else except understanding His will in every undertaking. There’re three main things to keep in mind about God’s revelations:

First, the Bible is the Only Book inspired by God that sufficiently reveals Him (2 Timothy 3:16-17). It’s the only Book that contains God’s will for mankind. These are huge claims which are considered ridiculous by many a worldly philosopher. But there’s only one possible way to test their validity: PRAY and DO YOUR RESEARCH, ask God to reveal Himself to you (James 1:5-8). Laziness, arguments, self-confidence, intellectual pride and self-justification will not help you.

Second, in the Bible, God reveals many things that apply to all believers. Christian lifestyles and behaviors, principles, warnings, consequences, preventive and corrective measures, spiritual examples of faith, etc. All these are applicable to any Christian without exception. As you read the Bible, you will discover many of these general revelations (1 Corinthians 10:11).

Third, as you read and meditate on God’s inspired Words in the Bible, The Holy Spirit reveals specific things that apply to your personal life. Groups, associations, families, villages, countries, companies and other entities can receive specific revelations from God. As a matter of fact, God has a specific purpose for each individual or entity. The only reason for your existence as an entity is to fulfill your Godly purpose – anything else is complicating your life.

It makes no sense to envy or imitate others. You will never be like someone else. Although you must work with others to realize common projects, your role is unique and different from those of others. It also doesn’t make any sense putting your trust on people. God is the DEFINER of your purpose, Your GUIDE to discovering it and Your STRENGTH in accomplishing it (James 1:5, Psalm 18:1-2).

It is not your adherence to a particular denomination or school of thought that determines your effectiveness in discovering and living God’s will at any particular time. It is your total surrender and submission to God and reliance and dependence on the Holy Spirit in reading, meditating, understanding and practicing God’s general and specific revelations. Only then will God show you mysteries concerning Himself, your life and the world around (Colossians 1:19-29).

Do his will

Once you learn to rely on God and receive general and specific revelations from Him, your next step is to apply and live by them – NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS (Psalm 16:8). You have a role to play. God has His. You don’t need to understand how God causes things to happen. If you live His will, He will play His part.

The difficulty is investing time to seek the Father. It’s a narrow way; therefore, many avoid it (Matthew 7:13-14). But against all odds, we must focus on knowing the Father and His will. He promised HELP in the process.

In this perverse world, it takes courage and braveness to know and do what God desires. If you do what the Holy Spirit instructs, God will handle the rest. He will guide you to all truths. You will live His will.
