We live in the last days. The Bible predicted many will deviate from the truth. The principal cause of this deviation is the false doctrines they adhere to. In his craftiness, Satan used non-diligent believers to developed the most deceptive doctrines. These three below you need to avoid:
The Age Of Miracles Has Ceased
Many believers have embraced this false doctrine. They say ‘miracles were for the apostles and early believers’. But the Bible says, ‘‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever’’ (Hebrews 13:8). You wonder why many can’t get answers to prayers. How can a generation experience something they don’t believe in?
Jesus used the apostles to build the foundation, but the work of God continues until His return. Paul says kingdom living requires power (1 Corinthians 4:20). Jesus gives believers authority and power for the Great Commission, evident by signs and wonders (Luke 10:19, Mark 16:14-18).
Many are no longer interested in evangelism, deliverance, healing, visions, or prophecies because they believe power for such a level of faith is no longer available. Is God not powerful anymore? Do we work miracles and signs by our strength? Paul describes this sort of belief as ‘‘having a form of godliness but denying its power’’ (2 Timothy 3:5, NKJV). And he continues, ‘‘from such people, turn away.’’
Once You’re Saved, You’re Always Saved, No matter How You Live
God’s standard is holiness. We don’t like to hear about it but that’s the way it is. We will not see Him if we don’t go after holiness (Hebrews 12:14). Salvation is not a mere confession. It’s a lifestyle, different from that of the world. Salvation isn’t by works, but our works expose it to this dark world.
No wonder messages on hell have disappeared from our pulpits. Money, materialism, worldly success, physical comfort and all that appeals to the flesh, that’s on the mode.
But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore, you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect (Matthew 24:43-44, NKJV).
You see, the master doesn’t know when thieves can break into the house. He kept an eye yesterday. He does the same today, and every day. So he can’t afford to miss a day. Thieves can break in any day. It’s the same with our faith in God. You don’t speculate these things. You either live it or not.
Theology Explains The Bible Better
Holy Spirit inspired theology has many advantages. It helps the believer to learn things about God which one can’t know by reading only the Bible. For instance, how the Bible was assembled, revelations in the field of archaeology and science which point to the Bible and History. But the biggest danger to theology is that many have replaced the Bible with it.
No one can teach you the Bible better than the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not the Author of all confusing doctrines and theological misinterpretations. Human beings are. Authentic theology backs Scripture. It’s the Bible’s revelations first before theology. Biblical revelations guide theological explanations, not the other way round. False teachers and prophets easily manipulate those who don’t understand these things.
You don’t need a theological school in an interior community, where people can’t read and write or never went to school to understand the Bible. All they need is the Holy Spirit’s presence and an authentic Christian God sent there.
